MISCANTHUS - ELEPHANT GRASS Grown in the South West Miscanthus offers an alternative, environmentally friendly and economic source of high quality bedding material. Miscanthus cane is composed of two materials, a firm outer layer, which forms the structure of the bedding and a pure white pith centre, which forms the absorbent component. Due to its woody nature, the dust content is naturally low, particles created during harvest are removed during packaging. making ideal where there are concerns with respiratory problems. |

DENGIE MEDIBED Dengie Medi-Bed is a precision chopped, dust extracted wheat straw bedding. it is treated with an effective disinfectant (harmless to horses) to inhibit the growth of moulds, bacteria, viruses and fungi. Unlike most other dust-free bedding products, Medi-Bed can be disposed of on a conventional muck heap, where it rots easily. Packed in easy to handle 140 litre (approximately 25kg) bales,. To start a Medi-Bed: Approximately 4-6 bales, will be required, depending on the size of stable. Only 1-2 bales per week are needed in most cases to maintain the bed. |
