NEW BEER LIST OPTIONS
We have recently introduced 3 new beer list options on our website to
help you when selecting your choice
1. MALTSTERS CHOICE
Highlights
beers that we, the staff at Tuckers, feel are particularly worthy of attention
and will change on a regular basis. The first Maltsters Choice highlights a
selection of beers brewed by smaller American craft brewers.
2. BOTTLED
CONDITIONED
Highlighting all the bottled conditioned ales. Bottled conditioned is considered by many to be the best method to
preserve the flavour and character of the beer in the bottle as it mimics the
technique used by traditional craft brewers who use yeast in the cask to give
the beer a subtle carbonation combined with distinct flavours.
Always pour BCAs with care in one movement, leaving
the yeast in the bottle as you see it approach the neck.
3.
BIN ENDS
A selection of
end of line, short dated or approaching short date beers at a greatly reduced
price. Many beers drink well and
even improve well beyond their sell by date
HOPPING ALONG
The arrival
of the new hoppy ales from
Belgium
and
France
is imminent including the classic De Ranke XX Bitter along with De la Senne
Zinnebier. By way of something completely different we will also have a stout
brewed in
Belgium
which is worth looking out for.
ALL AT BAY
News of a new
brewery about to start up at
Aspen Way
in Paignton is of particular interest as the start up plant will be of an
impressive 20 barrel size capable of producing some 400 casks a week. The
brewer is Will Freeland who was head brewer at Skinner’s who have always
produced beers of the highest quality. Bay Brewery is due to start production
in May.
FINAL REMINER – 15th MALTINGS BEER FESTIVAL
12th 13th & 14th April 2007
Organised by SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers) South West Branch and
held at in our own Maltings. The Festival is now established as
one of the premier beer festivals in the
UK
and this year over 250 Westcountry Beers are expected. We hope to see you
there.
Best wishes from all at Tuckers Maltings - Enjoy your beer
