Welcome to the Online home of Edwin Tucker & Sons Ltd
We are a local company established in 1831 and are based in the Devon town of Ashburton. Our site at Ashburton houses one of our country stores, Tuckers Seeds and our registered company office. We also have another country store in Crediton and Tuckers Maltings in Newton Abbot.
Both of our country stores supply all you are likely to need for country living. We pride ourselves on offering an extensive range of products catering for the needs of small holders, horse riders, farmers, gardeners, pet owners and providing supplies for your home. We try, where possible, to source our products from local suppliers and companies. It is because of this relationship with our suppliers that we can offer a friendly well informed service to our customers, a service of which we are proud.
Tuckers seeds, our in-house seed merchants, have been supplying top quality seed to generations of our customers, from farmers, professional growers, allotment associations, right down to the amateur gardener. Our seeds are carefully selected to ensure our customers get the best, top quality product at a fair price. With friendly advice and support available, our customers can be sure to get the best seeds for their needs.
In Newton Abbot we have Tuckers Maltings, one of only four malt houses in the country which still produces malt in the traditional manner and the only one to operate regular guided tours, which are highly recommended. Our maltings supply over 30 breweries in the south west. A large selection of beers, including a selection that are produced using our malt, can be found in our specialist beer shop on the site. Most are also available online through our secure internet shop.
Our website is currently under development, over the next few months customers will begin to see the work we are currently undertaking. We hope to provide a much improved online experience and that in time our website will allow you, our customers, to see what products we stock, provide you with information and advice on our products and offer solutions to all of your countryside needs.
Whilst we are in the process of developing our online services we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and ask for your patience in the matter. Hopefully you will find the end results well worth the wait. In the meantime if you have any comments or suggestion regarding our website please do get in contact and let us know your thoughts.
